Fashion Icon Lauren Burch is the Canadian hottie with endless opportunities
Canadian model and Shore Thang discovery Lauren Burch (@laurenxburch) is a Twitch streamer and content creator who distinguished herself from her twin sister Julia Burch, beginning in late 2019.
At the time, TikTok wasn't too popular and Covid-19 hadn't ruined the world's fun. At the time, Lauren Burch took a page from the growing cultural e-girl phenomenon and just sort of ran with it. In this way, Lauren is the more impactful and culturally influential Burch twin, if only because she took chances, where others chose to follow established trends.
Her twin sister Julia, is Lauren’s “biggest inspiration and influence,” who pushes her “to work hard and achieve goals… in the social media space.” Lauren grew up being home schooled, remains a committed vegan, and is of French and Dutch heritage.
She was first discovered by Shore Thang in 2019, due to her unique sense of style, stunning natural physique, and high follower count. Lauren, also has experience as an actress, appearing in Canadian Television shows as well as film shorts, along with her sister Julia. Once, when they were paid for their work on Letterkenny, both Lauren and Julia's paychecks were inadvertently mailed to Zachary Elliot, the creative director of Shore Thang, who promptly turned the checks over to Julia and Lauren.

Lauren went on to create her first TikTok in December of 2019, which she shared on the podcast ‘Pillow Talk’ in 2021. She has close to nine million followers to her @laurenxburch TikTok, with over one hundred million likes.

A gamer and cosplayer, Lauren Burch creatively brings both anime and game characters to life. Lauren looks like a porcelain doll with her platinum blond hair and large, dolly wink eyes. With close to forty thousand likes, she wears a puffy, black sleeve blouse with a white collar, black ruffle thong panties and ponytails with ribbons, high black socks and a little black tail. In a fire instagram reel, “Give me your anime recommendations,” Lauren cosplays everyone’s anime fantasy in a white leotard, long platinum hair and snow bunny makeup replete with white, cyber style headphones.

In an original YouTube, Lauren does a “Modakawa Black Friday” try on haul. Lauren mentions that she had repped Modakawa before, as they sent her a curated collection of outfits. Gold and black look beautiful together according to Lauren, as she shows the flowing hem of the dress. The material feels soft and comfortable to the touch and it does not appear to be see through. She tries on the dress to reveal maximum cleavage, with the gold chain accents really hitting. The open back with the draping and the side cutouts along the hips, is really giving. The gold chains gather around in the middle of the dress, creating a snatched waist. The next piece which she tries on is actually a set consisting of an oversized sweater with sequined detailing, which appears like gems stiched into the sweater and an abstract design, on a grey background. The sweater comes with a matching velvet skirt in an a line shape, which Lauren hypes is perfect for the colder months.
The skirt has two layers and Lauren is really here for the way the velvet skirt matches the blinged out sweater. Lauren points out how the skirt has an elastic waistband, built in shorts and a belt loop, as the skirt comes with a gold chain loop. She tries on the outfit to reveal a goth meets preppy look, which Lauren makes her own. She is really feeling the black and white plaid dress that she tries on next. The dress is accessorized with three black ribbons in front that have three big gem stones in silver, black and pink. The huge pouffy sleeves are everything, as Lauren is a big fan of them.
The square neckline of the dress is “super flattering” according to Lauren. The dress zips up the back and is layered, which she personally loves. The dress has loops and comes with a black ribbon which can be laced into the loops. The dress is not a mini dress, but it had shorts built into it for modesty. Lauren styles the dress by lacing it up in front with the black ribbon, as she wears it off the shoulder. She is really here for the next outfit which she tries on, which is a button down plaid dress in grey. It comes with a sleeveless sweater vest to wear over. Lauren really likes to layer her pieces and likes the look of the sleeves of the dress, coming out of the vest. The outfit is accessorized with a matching tie for a pulled together look. She just loves the detailing on each of the outfits, from the rhinestones to the embroidery. The first outfit which she tries on is actually a matching rhinestone bustier top and bottom set. The top is black and features rhinestone accessories, and is giving 1980s Madonna. She loves the quality of the material and how the top is really thick and has padding underneath. The bustier top is in a push up style with an open back, which provides lots of support, making it bustier like. She notes the crisscrossing and the deep v plunge of the bustier, for maximum effect as well as cleavage. She absolutely loves it, from the shape of the bustier, to the different shaped rhinestones with which it is encrusted. Lauren also notes the high quality of the bustier which is an important feature of a rave outfits, because according to Lauren, when you are at a rave you move around and so you want your outfit to stay put. The bustier came with high waisted bottoms in a classic triangle shape, which Lauren thinks goes perfectly.
Lauren displays the cute, black sheer skirt, which the bustier top comes with, it is “very mini and very sexy”. The skirt has rhinestone details as well, and opens in the back to reveal a thong bottom. Next, Lauren tries on a baby blue gem incrusted, cropped bustier top which she first debuted on her instagram. The bustier is in a butterfly corset style with butterfly appliqué accents and jewel detailing. In a styling note, Lauren hypes the material and how soft and comfy it would be for dancing. Wearing the corset top with some butterfly wings, would complete the whole look. The removable straps can be worn criss cross or straight. They can also be removed for a strapless look.

The centerpiece of the corset top is the big blue jewel in the center, beautiful beading which catch the light, and the lace detailing along the edge of the bustier. The top comes with matching lace bloomers in the same gorgeous blue color, with butterfly appliqués in her review of the ensemble, Lauren points out how corset tops can be hit or miss, but so far all of the corset sets which she tried on have fit very well. She has already worn the butterfly set and it fit perfectly well, as she tries it on to display how beautiful it looks on. She looks like an Angel. The next corset top which Lauren tries is pink, which is in a seashell type design, festooned with beautiful crystals. Lauren shares how excited she is to try it on as she has not worn it yet. She loves how “beautiful” it is and that it gives her “princess vibes” for sure.
The corset has a diaphanous skirt attached at the bottom, making it into a little dress. The beautiful pink color really brings it to life according to Lauren, as the color contrasts perfectly with the white/gray crystals. The butterfly bow in the center of the corset really brings everything together, and the mesh material is beautiful. The intricate lace material of the corset features beads that dangle from the front of the top and the back of the corset, which is made out of a mesh type of material, with three straps along the back. The spray of encrusted pearls along the bodice and the tulle skirt is what makes this set really pop. The bustier features a halter neck which ties beautifully at the neck.
The matching high waisted bottoms are absolutely beautiful, and are in a sheer pink. The bottoms are also beaded and festooned with crystals. Trying on the outfit, Lauren looks like “the birth of Venus” painting, stepping out of the seashell. The next rave outfit which she tries on consists of a bra top with holographic colors in pastel pink and blue, with diamanté accents. Lauren is totally feeling this rave outfit and wants to wear it as a bathing suit. The material is gorgeous, with a holographic effect of the pastel colors shining as it catches the light. The bra top is also made out of a powder blue lace material with solid straps, which keeps the bra firmly in place.
There is a big rhinestone centerpiece and layers of pearlescent beads, which hang from the front. The bra straps are adjustable and clasp in the back, while there is a rhinestone chain which accessorizes the front. There bra came with bottoms in a beautiful, dusty lilac color and a mauve fish net style cover, with sequins to wear over it.
